Tour Programme:

* Visited Sights:  Goreme Panorama Point – Derinkuyu Underground City – Ihlara Valley (3 KM Walking) – Belisirma Village – Selime Monastery – Pigeon Valley
After breakfast, your first stop will be at Esentepe, which offers an incredible panoramic view of the fairy chimneys and rock formations. We then head to the underground city of Derinkuyu, one of the deepest underground cities in Cappadocia. We continue to the Ihlara Valley. Here you will have the opportunity to walk part of the valley. We take a break at the village of Belisirma. We then visit Selime Monastery, the largest rock carved cathedral in Cappadocia. Our last stop is Cappadocia’s Pigeon Valley, named for the thousands of pigeon houses carved into the rock over thousands of years. Transfer back to your hotel in Cappadocia.

Tomorrow morning you have the opportunity to get another perspective of Cappadocia in a one hour Cappadocia Hot Air Balloon Flight at sunrise. Please let us know in advance if you want to take advantage of this great opportunity as places are limited.

* Visited Sights:  Uchisar Castle – Goreme Open Air Museum – Love Valley – Avanos – Pasabaglari – Devrent Valley
After breakfast, your first stop of the day will be at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Goreme Open Air Museum. Our second stop will be at Paşabağ Valley, also known as the Monk’s Valley, home to some of the best examples of mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. We then drive to Devrent Valley, also known as “Imagination Valley”, where some of the most surreal rock formations can be found. After lunch in Avanos, we visit a local family pottery for a demonstration of wheel throwing. Our final stop is at Uçhisar Castle, one of the highest points in Cappadocia. After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cappadocia.

* Visited Sights:  Seljukian Caravansarai (Karatayhan) – Pinarbasi – Tekir Valley – Adiyaman
Morning departure from Cappadocia. After passing Kayseri, visit the 13th century Seljuk caravansary “Karatayhan”. The next stop will be in Pinarbasi for a short tea break then drive to Tekir for lunch. Take a picture of the beautiful scenery of the Tekir Valley. Then drive to Kahta. Tea break, transfer to hotel, overnight and dinner on Mt.Nemrut.

* Visited Sights:  Nemrut Mountain – Cendere Bridge (Roman) –  Sanliurfa – Harran House – Islamic University – Abraham Cave – Pools of Holy Carp – Gobekli Tepe (Temple) – Bedesten Bazaar
Very early departure up to the ruins, after getting off the minibus twenty five minutes walk up to the top where you will watch the beautiful sun rise between the colossal size statues and heads of kings and gods. After sunrise time to walk around and take pictures. Drive back to the hotel for breakfast. Drive to Kahta, on the way visit the ruins of Arsemia Roman Bridge of Cendere and Tümülüs Tomb of Karakuş. Tea break in Kahta. Drive to Sanli Urfa-Harran on the way visit the Atatürk Dam which is the largest dam in the Middle East. Check in at hotel in Sanli Urfa, after lunch visit Abraham’s Cave and the Pools of Holy Carp surrounding it, then walk around the oriental covered bazaar drive to Harran. Harran is a village of charming mud-brick “beehive” houses mentioned in the Book of Genesis, where Abraham spent the last years of his life. Visit the ruins of Harran including the city walls, the oldest Islamic university and the eighteenth century castle. Then off to Gobekli Tepe. The oldest excavated temple in the world. Also thought to be the site of the Garden of Eden. After sunset drive back to the hotel, dinner and overnight in Sanliurfa.

* Visited Sights:  Birecik Old Town –  Bald-Ibis (Kel aynak) Birds – Halfeti Boat Tour (Euphrates) – Halfeti to Cappadocia
Departure from Sanliurfa to Birecik which is famous for its bald ibis (Kelaynak) birds. These birds live only in Bilecik in the world. There is not much left of them. There is a breeding farm of Bald Ibis birds. Having lunch, drive up to Taurus Mountain. Tea break then drive back to Goreme. After the tour, transfer back to your Cappadocia hotel or Airport.
